  1. Thank you for this wonderful article on flaxseed oil! I had been wondering about it for quite some time. Right now I use hemp seed oil and tea tree oil. I don’t ingest the tea tree. And this is the first example of how to take flaxseed oil that I’ve read. Thank you for posting!

  2. Thank you for this informative review. I often use different herbal mixes as a way of improving my health and keeping it it in good form. I often use other supplements as well, but I think I will add this flaxseed oil to my collection.

    1. Hello Strahinja,
You are more than welcome, I am simply happy that it was helpful to you. It is good that you are already using a variety of different herbal supplements to boost your health. All the best.

  3. You said that people new to to taking flaxseed could experience stomach or intestinal issues. Do you know of anything that may be able to help alleviate these? I’m considering starting to take this but want to make sure I know all of the facts first.

    1. Hello Jason, these side effects happened when the adults consumed more than 6 grams per day. To avoid these side effects, I would suggest taking a small quantity for the first time, e.g. one teaspoon instead of one tablespoon. This way, you will allow your body time to adjust to the new supplement and avoid these side effects altogether. I hope this helps.

  4. Is flaxseed a better Omega than fish oil? I do not stomach the fish oil omega very well and would love to find a more tolerable supplement.

  5. Thanks for the healthful info on flaxseed oil. I am curious as to what the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid is. And when used in cooking as I saw suggested does it impart any kind of taste to the food?

    1. Everybody has individual tastes. What one person loves, another person detests. Because of this, I think you would just have to try it for yourself and see if you like using it in cooking or not. I know I do. Also, for me, the health benefits are so high that this is the main draw for me. For more information on the health benefits of fatty acids, please click here.
